Directors :: Sade Jemmott with responsibility for Media & Public Relations

Actively balancing her passion for entertainment with a profession in Law, 22 year old Sade N. Jemmott has not only held several student government positions but coordinated various events- from fetes, pageants, plays and dinner parties to panel discussions and charity benefits, while completing her studies at Queen's College, the University of the West Indies Cave Hill and Hugh  Wooding  Law School in Trinidad and Tobago.

As a freelance web content producer for BoomTribe since 2006, Sade wrote event reviews, regional entertainment news, conducted interviews with numerous Caribbean artists and even snapped photo galleries where necessary. This led to the creation of  Whas De Action in 2007, her very own promotional and marketing enterprise.

As Founder of Whas De Action, Sade has sucessfully attracted and maintained nearly 4,000 persons within that forum where the latest entertainment information is always available and members can discuss and debate both local and regional controversial topics freely.   The recipient of both the Olton Springer Memorial Scholarship and George Walton Payne & Co. Scholarship, Sade is also a good communicator with an active social conscience, who is always willing to take up a worthy cause. Illustratively, she also served as the Public Relations and Communication Officer for BoUiK by Toni Thorne’s major HIV/AIDS outreach initiatives 'Martha's Smile' and 'Wear the Issue'. ‘Martha’s Smile’ sought to raise funds for a children’s home in Jamaica, while ‘Wear the Issue’ was an awareness campaign and competition geared towards students in Barbadian primary schools.

Within ISLAND FUSION's  organisational structure Sade is the Director responsible for Media and Public Relations with the main objective of ensuring that through its interaction with the public, ISLAND FUSION contributes to lifting the profile of Foreday Morning Jam as a culturally significant aspect of the Crop Over festivities for both locals and non-nationals alike. Completing her final year of studies at the Hugh Wooding Law School in May of this year, Sade is eager to return to Barbados to use her acquired skills not only for the benefit of Barbados but also the region, the integration of which is something she is also very passionate about.
