FAMILY!!!!
So you've got questions and that is perfectly understandable. Therefore, to make the entire process from reservation through to
jump as easy as possible for everyone, ISLAND FUSION has decided to compile and post for your general information a list of
frequently asked questions (F.A.Q.) and our responses. We know we won't have every question answered here but we promise
to try to provide a prompt and comprehensive response to any unaddressed concern.
We hope this helps!!

We have taken the decision to maintain roughly the same numbers

Our costume has changed for 2011, however the new look will
not be seen by the public until our official launch party scheduled
for MONDAY MAY 30th.
You don't want to miss this ;) The costumes
will be posted to Facebook on MAY 31st.

Of course!! Apart from our launch party, we have plans for
a cruise, a day-time lime and at least one other event in
addition to our Thank You party. The venue, details and
costs of each event will be shared via this page, Twitter
and our website www.myislandfusion.com. All efforts
are being made to host memorable quality events at
affordable prices.
Note also that there will be monthly ISLAND FUSION calendars released which will highlight these and other important dates for all members.
• Will there be a waiting list for costumes?
Yes there will be a waiting list for costumes. Should anyone
indicate that they will no longer be jumping with us, persons
on that list will be contacted in the order they were added to
the list, having regard to their costume requirements.
RESERVATION/REGISTRATION PROCESS
• What is the difference between reservation and registration?
Your reservation is the request for membership you submit via the
registration form on our website www.myislandfusion.com.
Whereas registration is the 2 part process (deposits and balance)
where you have make your payments on your costumethereby confirming your reservation.
• Given ISLAND FUSION's popularity, how do 2010 members secure their place for 2011?
Rest assured there is a loyalty strategy in place for this year's registration.
A limited period of time will be reserved to afford 2010 Island Fusion members
the opportunity to reserve their place for 2011 before the general public.
ISLAND FUSION will accept reservations from ONLY its 2010 members during
the May 23rd -28th period. These may be confirmed by making your $50.00
deposits at our official 2011 launch scheduled for May 30, 2011.
From May 31st the reservation process will be opened to the general public via a form to be placed on our website www.myislandfusion.com and their dates to make deposits will be announced on our June calendar.
• For 2010 members, who cannot make it to the launch, but want to jump, is there another means of registering before it is offered to the public, so as to secure our space?
Unfortunately no. As a past member you can submit your reservation during
the designated member-only period but we are not accepting any deposits
until the night of the launch. If you cannot make it to the launch then we
suggest you confirm your reservation by paying your deposit as soon as
possible after.
• How can I pay my deposit for my costume?
Costume deposit payments may be made by CASH ONLY at the official launch party of SAFARI – ISLAND FUSION's 2011 band; OR at the designated locations and times advertised by the band. Foreign masqueraders are advised to work with a local person to pay your costume deposit.
• How can I pay the balance of my costume?
Costume balance payments may be made by CASH ONLY at the
designated locations on July 9 and 10, 2011. Foreign masqueraders
may either wait until collection or work with a local person to pay off
your costume balance.
• I registered online, do I have a space in the section I selected?
It is your deposit that secures your place in the band and NOT your reservation. Therefore, if you have not made a deposit to date but submitted a reservation request for any of the sold out sections (First Call, Bridgetown, Jack In The Box or Orchid World Pink), please select another option.
• Who do I make the cheque out to?
Deposits are only being accepted in CASH.
• I am an international member and I do not have an agent in Barbados, how can I pay?
International Members can use Western Union to make their payments but are reminded that they should send enough to cover any charges attached to the transfer.
• I changed my mind, can I switch sections?
Once a deposit is paid, you CANNOT switch your section choices.
• If I chose a size but it is too big or small can I change it?
The size costume (shirt and/or pants) that you register for is the one you must take, we CANNOT facilitate changes in sizes after a deposit has been made so please pay special attention when making your selections. |
